What movie am I thinking of?

Tonight I suddenly remembered this movie I watched when I was a kid.
It involved these people...they might have been animals or maybe
people (I feel like they might have been brightly colored) and they
had to cross through this mirror into another land or something and
their villain lived there. Sorry for the foggy description...but
that's all I can remember. I know it's not Rainbow Brite, I think it's
another 80's movie or cartoon. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
This is driving me crazy!
